Text neck syndrome is the term used for repitative strain injury or pain in neck, caused as a result of excessive phone usage. The typical hunched posture which one attains while using smartphone is associated with this syndrome. During the COVID-19 lockdown there was found to be excessive phone usage for leisure or work. This led to increase in smartphone addiction and an associated increase in text neck syndrome. The book deals with the study which shows the correlation of smartphone addiction with text neck syndrome during the phase of lockdown in India.
