A brick-sized book containing all 650 artworks of the installation “Labour of Love”. A collector’s item featuring all (!) the amazing artworks: a whopping 688 pages thick! A collector’s item featuring all the amazing artworks from Sarah Maple’s installation “Labour of Love”. Back In 2021, Sarah Maple discovered that she was pregnant. With awe and an awareness of previous generations, she tracked the feedings of their baby for three months. She counted 650 feedings and created an equal number of artworks, where she erased herself and kept the baby visible.
The installation “Labour of Love” showcases all these artworks and invites you as a visitor to contemplate the appreciation of motherhood. This breathtaking installation was first exhibited by KochxBos Gallery during Art Rotterdam and sparked numerous, sometimes emotional, conversations and reactions. KochxBos Publishers transformed it into a brick-sized book, a collector’s item featuring all (!) the amazing artworks.
