Discusses some of the considerations of the joint ACI-ASME Committee in developing the provisions of ACI Standard 359 and ASME B&PVC Section III, Division 2, Subsection CC, Article CC-3000 on nuclear construction in the 2013 version of the code. Emphasis is given to the explanation of provisions that may be unfamiliar to code users.
