Between 1963 and 1965 the Moors Murderers - Ian Brady and Myra Hindley - kidnapped and murdered five children before they were caught and sentenced to life in prison. Three of the children - Pauline Reade, John Kilbride and Lesley Ann Downey - were discovered in shallow graves on Saddleworth Moor.
