Originally published in 1909, this book contains the background to and results of a magnetic survey of Southern Africa carried out from 1898 to 1906. The stations involved in the survey were spread from the Cape of Good Hope to Victoria Falls, and the end product is a detailed picture of the magnetic makeup of the entire region.
