Marking a decade since the 2011 Arab Uprisings, this study takes as a point of reference five case studies where uprisings took place, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Syria to compare the role of Arab armies in state building, how they reacted to the Uprisings, and what role they played in the post-Uprising regime re-formations or collapses.
