Stephen Smalley is the Dean of Chester Cathedral. He holds an MA and PhD from Cambridge University, and a BD from Eden Theological Seminary. His other works include Christ and Spirit in the New Testament (coeditor and contributor), John: Evangelist and Interpreter, and 1, 2, 3 John in the Word Biblical Commentary series.
