If you want to get into law enforcement and are married or planning on getting married, the career is not yours alone. Talk to others who are in law enforcement before jumping in with both feet. The shifts and the enormous pressures are not yours alone. What you see in one month, most people will not see in a lifetime. You need to communicate with your spouse. You must go to a scene without prejudice. You need to get very good with your firearm. Treat all people equally. You never know that one day could be your last.
