Inspired by the Lyrical Ballads of Wordsworth and Coleridge, two authors set out to pen a contemporary homage to this timeless collection. As the collaboration progresses, however, the poetry and the unique narrative it carries takes on a life of its own. Thus, the authors come to tell their story through a collection of ballads, sonnets, pantoums and other forms: under arches, over bridges and against the backdrop of the fabled Northlands: from Tyne and Wear to Cumbria and beyond.
