The village of Whitwick is a simple one, like many British villages were around the country in the early twentieth century. Within its boundaries of pubs, small corner shops, farms and coalmines, is a small world in itself. Every person knows every other person and that sense of community and playing one's part in that community is what gives a sense of purpose to each citizen.
