Pete is a chipmunk who has moved to a new family and has no words for his feelings. Pete keeps on pooping, his parents keep on being there and helping him. They wonder about his early life story and begin to understand what the poop is showing them. With help they coregulate Pete and he begins to trust and accept their help.
