George Stubbs (1724-1806) was one of the most original artists Britain has produced. Far from being merely a horse painter, Stubbs' perfectionism and passion transformed the possibilities of nature painting. This edition, introduced by Anthony Mould, contains 42 pages of colour illustrations that cover the span of Stubbs' output.
