The city of Coventry suffered devastating damage during World War II. Amongst the casualties was the city's small tramway network, and the disastrous raid by the Luftwaffe of 14 November 1940 saw the final trams operate. Little remains now to remind people of this once important form of transport other than historic photographs. -- Cyngor Llyfrau Cymru
