Living in London, far from their Arab homelands, Nafie and his young wife Maliha become good friends with fellow exile Dr Nadim. The men's nostalgia for their old ways of living is in constant conflict with Maliha's ambition to live and love freely now she's in London and she is ill-prepared for the fire of emotions that overcomes her.
