Airports, Hotels and Tourism Development in the Indo-Pacific, 1934-2019
Omschrijving
This volume examines tourism promotion in the Indo-Pacific region through the synergies developed through airport, hotel, and airline development during the twenty and twenty-first centuries. The principal hubs include Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The book argues that these cities and city-states pursued Asia-centric models of tourism development that contrasted with models promoted by Western multi-lateral agencies in the same period.
