Several studies done previously have revealed that instructional materials are inadequate and therefore not significantly available in the teaching and learning of Kiswahili in most of the secondary schools in Kenya. Kiswahili teachers are forced to adopt the verbalistic and theoretical methods as a way of teaching and learning the subject. This lowers the moral, concentration and the interest of the learners in Kiswahili instruction.
