»Compensation for Care Provided within the Family«: The German care system relies heavily on care provided by family members. Due to demographic and socio-structural developments the care system is under increasing strain. Based on this finding, the author examines the existing financial compensation claims that the legal system offers to family caregivers. In addition, the introduction of new compensation instruments under civil and social law is discussed.
