»Pandemic and State Liability. On the State's Liability for Infection Protection Measures with Economic Consequences«: The paper examines the potential of state liability law in handling pandemics. Although the >Infektionsschutzgesetz< provides for compensation, clear claims are lacking for business closures. Infection protection measures can cause undue economic burdens on that need to be balanced from a state liability and constitutional perspective. Therefore, legislative action is required to maintain its effectiveness during crises while ensuring a fair balance with the sacrifices of those affected.
