This book covers design and performance issues
surrounding very large format CMOS Image Sensors. It
approaches the problem systematically from bottom up.
It starts with modeling and performance issues of
CMOS imaging pixels, reviews and address system and
circuit level issues with unique solutions and
circuits, and presents new IC design methodologies
for CMOS imagers. Each solution was supported with
real working CMOS image sensor ICs. All mixed-signal
circuits, timing diagrams, and measurement techniques
were presented for very large format CMOS image
sensor with stitching in the book. Fundamentals of
CCD and CMOS imagers along with imaging fundamentals
were also included in the first chapters of the book.
Targeted audience of this book is people who are
interested in image sensors in general and/or
particularly in large format CMOS imagers. All
students, engineers, scientists, and academicians
interested in understanding more about CMOS image
sensors, their circuits, measurement techniques,
performance metrics, and imaging pixels are invited
to read the book. Chapters are related to each other
but could be read independently.
