Aware of the importance of scientific research as a process for systematically obtaining the knowledge and technologies to be used to improve the health of individuals and populations, this pedagogical book has been drawn up by ISPITS professors for ISPITS students, at Licence Professionnelle level.Scientific research in health is multidisciplinary, drawing on fields such as the biological, environmental, anthropological and social sciences, epidemiology and bio-statistics. Its rigorous, cross-disciplinary methodology is based not only on scientific knowledge and evidence, but also on an arsenal of tools and processes that will guide students in the development of their research work and final dissertations.This pedagogical support will enable future health professionals to describe, develop and generate new knowledge about the health of individuals, communities and populations, in terms of disease management, prevention and screening, as well as the planning and organization of health services.
