This book portrays beef cattle production systems in Brazil, presenting a case study of six production systems in the state of Minas Gerais, identifying the components that had the greatest impact on the total cost and the effective operating cost of the activity. It also assesses the influence of the scale of production, the type of rearing system (extensive grazing and intensive grazing) and the rearing phases (full cycle, rearing and finishing) on the cost of producing beef cattle.
