All you need in maths!

Craats, Jan van de, Bosch, Rob

Omschrijving

All You Need in Maths! covers the basic mathematics you need to successfully embark on a university or college career in technology, natural sciences, computer and information science, economics, business and management studies, and related disciplines. By basic mathematics we mean elementary algebra, numerical sequences, equations, geometry, functions and differential and integral calculus. Practicing is essential. All You Need in Maths! is an exercise book, with more than half of each chapter consisting of exercises. We adopt a two-page approach: exercises on the left with short and clear explanations on the right. The answers to all exercise questions are given at the end of the book. The exercises are chosen with care: starting with lots of easy ones, with the difficulty gradually increasing. This enables students to also use the book for self-study purposes. All You Need in Maths! is the English translation of Basisboek wiskunde - one of the most successful maths books in The Netherlands (more than 50,000 copies sold since 2005). Jan van de Craats is professor emeritus in mathematics at the University of Amsterdam. He is a renowned expert on mathematics education and well-known for his skills in explaining mathematics to wide audiences. Rob Bosch is associate professor in mathematics at the Netherlands Defense Academy. He is a member of the editorial board of Euclides, the journal of the Dutch Association of Teachers in Mathematics (NVVW).
