Dileep Singh's name is also included in the list of famous and popular Indian Urdu Humorous writers. He was born in Gujranwala district (Pakistan) but his parents preferred to settle in India. Apart from serving in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Dileep Singh also used to render his literary services for radio and television. With the encouragement of Fikr Taunsvi and Mujtaba Hussain, he started writing humorous articles for newspapers and magazines, which became quite popular. In this way many of his books were published.
