Edward wants to play with his mom.
But Mom wants to paint the walls.
He doesn't like to play on his own, but his imagination gets him through the day in a nice way, involving his Mom in his play. Edward would love to play with his mom.
“Not today my darling Edward,” she says.
“I want to paint the walls today.”
“Can I help you?” Edward asks.
“Sure,” says his mom. “You can help me if you play a while in your room.”
Edward doesn’t like that very much.
