And Jason has his own private battle to fight. He has been accused of leading the so-called "Berch Gang," a group of Confederate sympathizers who steal gold leaving Denver, headed for the Union Army coffers. Jason is given a chance by the Union Army to prove his innocence and find the real culprits. But the closer he gets to them, the guiltier Jason himself looks!
